About Me
Hi! I'm Sancho Syquia. I spent most of my life in Manila, Philippines 🇵🇭, with some early years in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, and now study Math and CS at UC San Diego 🔱 🇺🇸 .
Growing up in a developing country shaped how I think about opportunity and impact. Since 2020, I've co-led Adaptech, a nonprofit that works to bring tech and education to hundreds of low-income Filipino students.
This past summer, I was a Software Engineer Intern at Meta, where I worked on AI tools for UX researchers and learned what it takes to ship technology at scale.
I've previously worked on patient-care systems at Mercury Alert AI and market intelligence at Spade AI. I also built the AI backbone for Veida AI, an app that helps students learn smarter with personalized study tools.
Outside of tech, I enjoy F1 🏎️, beaches 🏖️, poker 🃏, badminton 🏸, cooking 🍝, and scuba diving 🤿!
