About Me
Hi! I'm Sancho Syquia. I spent most of my life in Manila, Philippines 🇵🇭, with some early years in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, before moving to UC San Diego 🔱 🇺🇸 for college.
Growing up in a developing country, I've always cared deeply about giving back. Since 2020, I've co-led my nonprofit, Adaptech, to bring tech and education to low-income Filipino students.
I love how tech revolutionizes education, healthcare, and the environment. Last summer, I interned at Mercury Alert AI, where we transformed patient caregiving with AI. In the fall, I interned at Spade AI to build an AI engine for real-time market insights and innovation.
Building on my internship experience, I co-founded and engineered the AI backbone of Veida AI, an app that enhances student learning with AI-generated study plans, notes, flashcards, and quizzes.
Besides tech: I enjoy F1 🏎️, beaches 🏖️, poker 🃏, badminton 🏸, cooking 🍝, and scuba diving 🤿!
